Which book do you prefer?

I keep all the books I read as a child/young adult, and the other day ran into two of my favorite books. So I was wondering, of these two, which ( if you read them ) do you prefer and why. Flowers for Algernon, or Bridge to Terebithia?

Which book do you prefer?
Without hesitation I choose Bridge to Teribithia. I must have read that book and listened to an audio tape reading of it 10 times between grades four and five. For me Flowers for Algernon always came across as pulling too hard on heart strings. I will have to go back and read Bridge to Teribithia now that I'm older because I haven't read it since I was twelve. Thanks for bringing back a great memory!
Reply:Flowers for Algernon is one of my all time favorite books! It just blew my mind when I first read it in jr high school. It is one of those books that just leaves you drained after you read it and I cry every time.
Reply:niether...not my cup of tea....."Grapes of Wrath"
Reply:Flowers For algernon is a great book I will alway remember the writing style and the sad ending. Never read Bridge to terebithia
Reply:I read Flowers for Algernon, but not Bridge to Terebithia, while I liked Flowers for Algernon, my favorite from this era is definitely The Outsiders
Reply:Both of those books are kinda sad for my taste--I prefer the Melendy Family books, or the Wrinkle in Time trilogy.
Reply:I have read neither of these books.

As a child I read a book called The Shy Stegosaurus of Cricket Creek. I remember something about how the stegosaurus ate tumbleweeds and said they were salty tasting. Every time I see a tumbleweed I think about that, and to this day I still wonder if they taste salty.
Reply:I did not read Bridge to Terebithia, but all i can say is that flowers for algernon is a very good book!
