Here is my next list of books that I am going to read. What do you think? What are yours?
excellent list. I am very impressed. A couple more you might want to check out:

The Fountainhead

Atlas Shrugged

Crime and Punishment

James Mitchner's "The Drifters"

East of Eden

War and Peace (If for no other reason than to be able to say you have read it)

Chiam Potok's "Davita's Harp" %26amp; "My name is Asher Lev"

I have read all these books and highly recomend them
Reply:I recently read the rest of The Giver trilogy (don't know if she started out writing that way.) Gathering Blue and messenger - I think the 3rd was my favorite.

Also just read Uglies, Pretties and Specials by Scott Westerfeld. I've been researching (best term I can use) this genre, because I have a story coming together myself.

Love The Stand, too. I think I'm going to have to track down the Dark Tower series. I do have a few books waiting to read - The Gadget and Devil's Arithmetic. There are a few classics I need to read, too - Catcher in the Rye is one. Since I sell books, reading is a big part of what I do. That's why I read The Kite Runner, Night and My Sister's Keeper - all pretty good. I try to keep up on what's new and often get suggestions from Answers.
Reply:I love the Giver, Flowers for Algernon (make sure you have some tissues), and Silence of the Lambs...my brother and father love the Stand....I think it is a great list.....enjoy
Reply:Half way through The idiot fyorodor Dostoevsky

Swaggbelly(great for the sexual needs

Notes from Underground

The importance of being Earnest
Reply:Anna Karenina is a good book as is The Giver.
Reply:The Giver is a great book, and one that you tend to get different meanings out of depending on your age and outlook. Flowers for Algernon is a really good and moving story. And The Stand and Silence of the Lambs are just all around great books.

As for the other's I haven't read them. But I hope you enjoy them!
