What is the difference between a novel and a movie?
A novel is the written word and a movie is a director's interpretation of that word. Usually the movie has to leave lots of stuff out to fit in the time constraints of a movie.
Reply:One of the big differences I've noticed is that novels usually have waaaaay more details than the movie version. And when you're reading a book, you get to use your imagination. You can picture what's going on in your head, and try to figure out what the characters look like for yourself.

Movies take most of the dialogue bits, and present those with some changes. Oh, and don't forget that the movies show it to you and get you thinking that the characters look like particular actors.
