Any good books for summer?

I'm going book shopping tomorrow (YAY!! I %26lt;3 reading!!)

And I want to know if there is anything that is out that is a good read. some of my favorite books are:

-House OF Leaves

-The Journal of Nick Twisp

-The Great Gatsby

-Flowers for algernon

-Ex-girlfriend

,etc...

so, I'm into comedies, romantic-comedies, some dramas, romance, and horror. I'm not really a harlequin girl but I am open to pretty anything except sci-fi and historic things.

thanks for the suggestions!! =)

Any good books for summer?
I just read the new James Patterson - Sunday at Tiffany's and it was very good. Pax-C
Reply:I'm reading The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck right now. I'm halfway through right now, and I love it. It's about a family moving west to California during the Great Depression. I don't know if that's too historical for you, but it's really good regardless. The Pacific is a collection of short stories by Mark Helprin that I really enjoyed. He writes beautifully. It's full of personal dramas and deep human emotion.
Reply:I'm sure you've already heard but the Twilight Series is really good! I think you would like it! Its romantic with a hint of sci-fi but i wouldnt even consider it sci-fi at all, and there are some funny parts. Its about a girl who goes to a new school and falls in love with a vampire. It is seriously amazing i promise this book wont let you down. there are three books in this series already and the fourth book is coming out in august. :) I cant wait!
Reply:hey twilight is amazing, totally worth reading but there is also wicked lovely

those are all great books and have sequals that are alreay out so if you finish one and have more time then you can read more.
Reply:Try the "A place called home" Series by Laurie Wick. It's pretty good. Its a romance but not too mushy gushy. It has a few parts in it that makes me laugh :). Awww you read flowers for Algernon. I thought that was the saddest book ever! I read it in lit class, only the shortened version in the text book, but that was enough to let me know that it was really good, and very sad!

Reply:They're sort of big, but I know you'd love them. Read the Twilight series. They're making a movie in Kalama, WA. Anyway, there's three books, and there's 2 more coming out. The books are Twilight, New moon, Eclipse. They're about a 17 year old who falls in love with a vampire. It sounds stupid, but trust me. They're my favorite books EVER.
