We were reading some of this book in school. My teacher gave the class questions and I need help on a few. Theres 4 I just could not find.
1. How do charlies feelings toward miss kinnian change throughout the whole story?
2.How do Charlies feelings toward the doctors change after the operation?
3.Why was charlie upset about the incident with the dishwasher?
4.How does Charlie's personality change once he becomes a genius?
Flowers for Algernon Help!?
I think you need to go back and re-read the story more slowly. The answers are all there, otherwise your teacher would not be asking the questions.
Homework is designed to help you learn how to do your own research. If we give you the answers, the point is lost. Besides, the teacher will know if it's not your own work. My mom taught English (including 'Flowers for Algernon'!) for 40 years, and she could always tell...
Reply:re-read the story.
Reply:1. She goes from being a revered teacher, a figure of adult competence, to being an equal. Charly stops revering her, and contemplates having an adult romantic relationship with her.
2. Charly's intelligence increases beyond the doctors'.
3. Charly is upset because he remembered -- with shame -- that he'd once been like the dishwasher. He'd been made fun of, and hadn't realized what was going on.
4. He becomes intelligent and driven. He can no longer tolerate his former coworkers, because he can remember the humiliation at their hands.
Sorry, this is very sketchy. I haven't read this book since, maybe, 1983. You should read the book. I highly recommend it.
Reply:1. Charles's feelings change gradually, With the surgery completed, he begins to find interest in Ms. K and would like to have a relationship with her.
4. Once Charles becomes a genius, he becomes a little pompous and even egotistical. This, in turn, makes him lose his friends and all of his happiness in his simple life.
Sorry, but i read the book awhile ago and i cant remember the other two.
Good Luck
